Background/experience of leadership in subject/area of expertise:
I have taught at Staniland for the last ten years, since I was an NQT. My experience at this school has been very varied, as it has been on its own unique journey. From my training and through my early years here at Staniland, Behaviour Management has always been noted as a strength of mine and in different capacities, I have been asked to support others with this area. It also links quite closely to the SENCO role, which I am currently studying at University, to obtain my National SENCO Award.
I am very passionate about pupils’ inclusion in class, and enjoy helping others to succeed in this shared goal.
Personal ambition statement for SLE deployment:
Through my role of SLE it is my aim to help work collaboratively with others to help develop everyday practice and enthuse those I work with to become experts in this field. To be able to work with and enable others to understand their own potential and in turn, having an impact on the teaching and learning of all pupils is vital.
