Current position:

Key Stage 2 Leader

Gosberton Academy

Current phase and year group teaching in:

Year 5 teacher

Current leadership responsibility:

Key Stage 2 Leader, Maths Lead

Area(s) of expertise:

Background/experience of leadership in subject/area of expertise:

I was Maths Lead at Carlton Road Academy for one year. In that year, I was able to implement a new termly test process, coach other members of staff and start a teaching of mastery intervention that will hopefully see pupils coach other pupils in Maths.

In October 2016, I was moved to Gosberton Academy as Key Stage 2 Leader. Within that role, I was able to work with my Key Stage about the whole curriculum. I have been able to help with planning, teaching and assessment of Maths since arriving at Gosberton Academy.

Personal ambition statement for SLE deployment:

I wanted to be an SLE to not only improve other people’s practice but to continue to improve mine. The opportunity to be an SLE will allow me to pass on what I have learnt in my time Carlton Road Academy and Gosberton Academy. However, I look forward to working alongside other SLE’s and other staff to discuss ideas and that will only continue to develop my own teaching style.

I have been fortunate to have been given this opportunity and I look forward to taking on this new role and making a difference to children’s futures, not only in my own school but across a wide range of schools.
