Teacher Training

Applications

You can choose to apply for a training place via UCAS or a new GOV.UK service called Apply for teacher training. It’s really important you don’t submit the same choice via both systems, as duplicate choices will be flagged and one will have to be removed.

We suggest you use UCAS teacher training if:
– you’ve already started applying via UCAS
– some of your chosen training providers are not available through Apply for teacher training and you
don’t want to use 2 different services

To apply through UCAS Click here

We suggest you use Apply for teacher training if:
– all your chosen training providers are available through this new service

What is the difference between the School Direct Fee and SCITT Programmes?

In essence, the only difference between these two programmes are the schools to which you apply.

For the School Direct Programme (Fee) you need to apply to the Lead School, Staniland Academy – T695.

For the SCITT Programme you need to apply to Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance, Primary – 2PSM.

Both courses will run identically. For both courses you will pay the exact same training fees of £9250, you will be based within one of our partner schools and the training you receive will be exactly the same. Therefore, to improve your chances of securing a place on our training programme you could apply to both the Lead School and SCITT provider.
