THE GREAT OAKS FEDERATION – ST THOMAS’ CE PRIMARY SCHOOL, BOSTON
Learning Mentor
Required for April 2019 or earlier, 35 hours per week, 39 weeks pa (term time + 5 inset days)
Temporary Position to 31st August 2020, pending a review of the needs of the schools
Actual Salary G5 £15,964 – £18,044pa
We are looking to appoint an additional Learning Mentor to our existing team, to provide extra support to children who may have social, emotional or behavioural needs and who require additional help to access education and reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will be proactive, positive and flexible, a good team player with excellent communication skills. Knowledge and experience of working with children, particularly vulnerable children, is vital and it would be an advantage to have worked with other agencies that support children and their families. The post holder will be required to liaise with staff, parents/carers and children regarding issues surrounding children’s well-being and academic performance and on occasion make home visits.
The post is to support two schools and therefore the post holder will be required to travel between sites in the surrounding area, with a base at St Thomas CE Primary.
