The Alliance Grows!

Since our very successful Launch to Head Teachers, we are proud to say that over 25 local schools have chosen to join our Alliance. These schools will enjoy access to our English, Maths and Science Hubs, free of charge, as well as Head Teacher update and networking meetings. Our members will also benefit from a reduced rate for any additional courses they choose to access over the year.

Our termly newsletter sums up the happenings of this term, as well as looking ahead to next. Click here to find out more!

New beginnings

Future teachers eagerly wait to start their training in local schools in September. Our new cohort of School Direct Teacher Trainees completed their induction at Lincoln University and the Keyworth Centre of Lincoln Teaching School Alliance last week. All 16 trainees will be based in schools local to Boston or Spalding. They have been shown their comprehensive training programme for the year ahead and started working on their own individual training plans with their school based mentors.

We can’t wait to get going with this fabulous bunch of trainees – our children are very lucky to have their future in the hands of such an enthusiastic and inspired generation of teachers. Roll on September!

English Cluster leads the way in collaboration for subject leaders

Following an optimistic network meeting, our local English leaders have mapped out a collaborative agenda to cover areas of the curriculum where they can support each other. Their common goal is to develop and improve practice in their schools. Under the guidance of Literacy expert Dr. Jeannie Bulman, the group has set their sights on ‘Spelling’ at their next meeting on September 19th 2016.

If you are an English leader or just want to find more ideas about the successful progression of spelling in your curriculum, come and join us.
