I was late to teaching having previously being in the RAF and also working for the British Army in Germany. I have been teaching in Lincolnshire since 1997 starting as an NQT at Wyberton Primary School Boston. Leaving there in 2007 having achieved the position of Acting Head Teacher.

I was one of the first Advanced Skills Teachers in Lincolnshire supporting KS1 teaching learning, and pedagogy in that role I also supported numeracy and science. I am presently supporting the LAMP project and have just commenced work as an Early in Career Leader. I have also supported schools to develop RE leads and preparation for SIAMs. I became a Head Teacher in 2013 and then became an Executive Head Teacher in 2017 for Weston St Mary C of E Primary School. I was able to take the school from special measure in June 2017 to good in all areas in June 2019 and an Excellent Church school in November 2019. I took my third school Edenham Church of England Primary School in February 2019 and also secured a good Ofsted for that school on the same day as my special measures school in June 2019.  I have a passion to develop people to be the best teachers they can be and to become future leaders.
